Opportunity: Circles of Support and Accountability Volunteer Circle Volunteers meet with the Core Member (person convicted of a sexual offence) on a weekly basis for around 1.5 hours. During these sessions you will work with Core Member to help them reintegrate into their local community .This might involve building their social skills, helping them to find work or accommodation or developing pro-social hobbies and interests. After each meeting, member of the circle will be expected to write brief minutes of meeting and forward these to the Circles Coordinator within 24 hours of the meeting taking place. Volunteers will need to alert the Circles Coordinator immediately to any emerging risk issues noted by the Circles.

Requirements: Volunteers will need to attended two full days of training before commencing their role (Training usually takes place over weekend days).Provide accurate and timely minutes of Circle meetings. Communicate any concerns or risk issues you are aware of to the Coordinator or other relevant professional .Comply with the organisations policies

Location: Circles meet at community venues, the location of which will vary depending on the core member. Typically venues include community centres, faith group buildings or cafes.

Hours: 2 hours a week for 18 months, (plus initial 2 full days training.)

Expenses: Yes .Travel will be reimbursed for public transport and mileage. Taxis will only be reimbursed where taxi travel has been agreed as a reasonable adjustment.
