Opportunity:Breeding Dog Volunteer As a breeding dog volunteer, you will provide a full time, loving home for one of our guide dog mums, you will help keep her in top condition and health for her vital role, while also getting to enjoy all the benefits of a well-behaved loving dog. You will support your guide dog mum throughout her pregnancy and during her birth at home. You will then help to take care of her puppies during their seven weeks of life until they are ready to move onto the next stage of their guide dog journey.
Requirements: Need to live within hours drive of our national centre, you will need to have a car and be able to travel to our National centre. Your home will need an area suitable for your guide dog mum to give birth and need access to a secure garden. Volunteers attended an Induction Training Day at our National before their guide do mum is placed with them. Once matched with a guide dog, we then run an 8-week dog training class course, usually on Thursday morning at the national centre. The classes are an hour long. You will received all training you need for the role and you will have full support of our expert dog behaviour and welfare team and dedicated 24/7 support from our specialist breeding team.

The Freedom project is a free and confidential dog fostering service that provides a safe haven for dogs belonging to people fleeing domestic abuse. We help by placing dogs into volunteer foster homes whilst their owners seek refuge until they can be safely reunited with their much loved pet. Our fosters know that they are not only helping a dog in need, but they are also supporting a family to escape domestic abuse.

Opportunity:Cat Foster Carer Paws Protect offers temporary foster care for Cats whose owners are fleeing domestic abuse, the service enables both survivors and their pets to get to safety and then aims to reunite them once the owner has secure housing in place. Our volunteers care for the Cat/s in their own homes, providing peace of mind to families fleeing domestic abuse who know their feline friends are receiving the care and attention they need. The service is unique in that we offer long term foster placements of 5 months or more, asking our volunteers to allow the cats/s access to their whole home, whilst keeping them indoor only due to safety. Opportunity: Hosting Project Leader Volunteer You will act as the maitre’d of the team, helping to create a warm, friendly atmosphere that will make both volunteers and guests want to return each week. Your team of volunteers will lay the tables, greet guests and serve food all under your guidance. Responsibilities include: Running hosting sessions. Leading a team of volunteers to serve a three-course meal in a limited timeframe. Encouraging the whole team to have input into creating a warm, friendly atmosphere for guests. Taking climate change discussions directly into Primary schools, the Young Climate Warriors Ambassador Programme works to effectively initiate action-stimulating conversation and encourage critical thinking within an education environment. You will visit primary schools to deliver Speak out, Stay safe workshops that teaches children about the different types of abuse and how they can speak out and stay safe. The purpose of this project is to reduce loneliness and Isolation for local residents. Hope Community Project will be offering a summer school holiday community cafe service (Breaking Bread) to children/residents in the community. We need volunteer cooks to support this service. That’s where you can make a difference, cooking and preparing food. For the Summer school holidays from Monday 25th July to Friday 19th August.This Role is now suspended
Opportunity:Main Tasks: Plan, prepare and cook a range of food, Rotate cupboard stock to reduce waste. Work within a small team .Are organised and able to give out instructions/directions to others.
Requirements:Must be over 18 years of age .Have some knowledge and experience in cooking .Have a positive attitude and remain calm. Have or be willing to undertake/update a food hygiene qualification. Adhere to Hope Community policies and procedures at all times especially with regard to safeguarding vulnerable people.
