Volunteer Housekeeper

Opportunity: Volunteer Housekeeper We are looking for volunteer Housekeepers to assist in the running and upkeep of WFRC retail shop &centre. We need someone with a brilliant attention to detail and a love of cleaning to help us make our shop floor &office sparkle! • Keeping the cleaning standards on the shop floor high so all our customers and clients will enjoy their visit. • Cleaning materials and supplies are provided and located at the Centre. A cleaning schedule is provided, and daily duties will include: • To help keep the shop and office clean • Dusting, hoovering, tidying up etc
Requirements/Skills: An interest in the centre and an enthusiasm for keeping the shop and office tidy, good timekeeping, reliable, a willingness to undertake training required for the role.
Location: The Women and Families Resource Centre, Wolverhampton 39-41 School Street WV1 4LR
Hours: Minimum of 6 hours per week. Flexible weekdays and Weekends

Opportunity: BACF P/T Voluntary Caretaker To open up and close the building, Record bookings for hiring of rooms, Assist in setting up of rooms for meetings and other activities ,Clean and pack away chairs and tables, Carry out fire alarm test, Monitor CCTV screen and respond to emergencies, Ensure building is adequately heated as and when needed ,perform minor repairs, carry out inspections on the building (internally and externally) clean the car park and pick up litter ,ensure incidents are logged in the incident book, deal with concerns and or complaints form customers and service users.

Opportunity: Community Drop in To volunteer with members of the local community in various activities connected with healthy lifestyle, improving English language skills and confidence building. Opportunity: Women’s only Group To support and get involved in a wide variety of activities including light exercise, crafts, befriending and guidance. Opportunity: Skills Champions We will be working with 20 volunteers who will engage with and give accredited training. Once trained volunteers will then work with peers aged 16-29 year olds using interactive digital media & cutting edge technology focusing on marginalised YP, hidden NEETs & current claimants to highlight some of the career opportunities that are open to the young people across the city. Volunteers will sign post to and encourage the uptake of opportunities citywide and help referrals to further relevant training.
Requirements: The right candidate will be keen, motivated and potentially be looking to use the volunteering opportunity as a route back to work .An induction period will include training and skills development around digital, employability as well as project management , positive communication, running activities reporting and website management which will be further developed during the volunteering experiences .There is also a possibility of an additional 10 days of training over the duration of the programme To be confirmed with venues and volunteers however we anticipate that it will be 2-4 times per month.
Location: Training and induction will be at our office Chubb Building WV1 1HT then in venues across the city within the 10 priority wards.

	Opportunity: Book Club Volunteer. Volunteers needed to support a book club. We meet once a month, on a Thursday at Beacon Centre Sedgley. You will need to have an interest in reading and be comfortable communicating with people and supporting with providing refreshments. It is a very relaxed and enthusiastic group with a great passion for reading. Fishing Volunteers. This Role is currently filled We currently fish once a month on a Wednesday .Our volunteers need to be confident in handing fish and bait and just generally supporting our members. It is a very relaxed role at Albright on Fishing Moat .All equipment is provided. Swimming Volunteers. This role is Currently filled Volunteers needed to help support our members from the minibus to the centre, assist them round the changing rooms and to the lockers and guide them to the poolside. You have the option whether you want to go into the pool or not .There is always a qualified swimming instructor in the pool. You are not expected to teach anyone to swim .You not expected to help anyone get changed .all members are independent but need support getting round a new environment.

Hope Community Project will be offering a summer school holiday community cafe service (Breaking Bread) to children/residents in the community. We need volunteer cooks to support this service.
