We are looking for volunteer E-Commerce assistants to support WFRC to begin and increase online sales on new and used goods.
• To work alongside the shop manger to agree suitable items to sell
• Ensure items for sale are in good working order and fit for purpose
• To clean items and take quality photographs in an attractive setting
• Accurately and professionally describe new and used items
• Liaise with customer and shop /fundraising manger to arrange collections, viewing and payments

• Keeping the cleaning standards on the shop floor high so all our customers and clients will enjoy their visit.

Opportunity: Community Volunteer
Volunteer in community groups and spaces, reception area, charity shop and café.
Community group: Support or run a community group in an area of interest/expertise.

A 2 year project supporting the local community of Wolverhampton to prevent social isolation.
The task you will be asked to perform will depend on the needs of the service, the person you are matched with and your personal level of confidence, experience and interests. This may include the following :
• Telephone or face to face support for isolated housebound people across the city.
• Support people to utilise technology to reduce their isolation and ensure that their health and social needs are being met.
Other types of support you might be asked to provide include supporting people :
Identify and attend social activities or groups. Learn a new skill or find a new hobby
Help to cope with their long term conditions by getting involved with community activities. Link people with support service such as befriending .Try out new activities that make them feel healthier such as walking or swimming

Assisting the All Saints Action Network with running our Warm Spaces on a Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoon for 2 hours per session .You will provide a warm empathetic approachable environment. Social Interaction Facilitator

Opportunity: Supporting CT staff on the ‘Lets Chat’ project to meet and greet with members of the public, offer them tea and coffee and generally be willing and able to sit down and chat with people , offer them a friendly eat and with Training, be able to signpost them to other services that third party partners are offering . These activities are taking place in three ways:
Mobile Unit –A number of our minibuses are being converted, to allow space for chairs and table, a place to make hot beverages and information boards containing information about local service .Across the week these mobile units will visit a number of pre-determined places within the local community and park up for a number of hours, allowing members of the public to come on board, meet people and speak with representatives from several organisations offering their services. The purpose of this project is to reduce loneliness and Isolation for local residents. We are looking for volunteers to join us and participate in this project by meeting people and providing a friendly ear to listen and to join in conversation. The same service is being offered in static bus station buildings and generally across our Passenger Service.
Requirements: Friendly outgoing, sympathetic, a good listener.
Location: The project is set across three main areas, which are Coventry, Mid-Birmingham and the Black Country .The Black country will encompass Wolverhampton, Dudley and Sandwell.
The mobile units will travel around the Black Country on set days
Station sites in Dudley and West Bromwich .Our Passenger service locations vary.
Hours: The Lets Chat project is operational between Monday-Saturday and the hours of 08.30-6.30pm.

Our Engineer/Maker Volunteers are the essence of our local branch activities .They use their practical skills and ingenuity to help people with disabilities live fuller and more independent lives.
Opportunity:This role may vary depending on local needs but is likely to include :
• Designing and making pieces of equipment for individuals with specific needs.
• Using your practical skills working with one or more of :Metal , Wood, plastic or electronics
• Attending a monthly meeting of the local branch
Requirements: Practical experience in working with one of the above materials. Able to listen well to understand someone’s needs .Able to follow Remap policies and procedures. Able to understand and apply our risk management system .Able to apply disability, equality and inclusion practices .Able to keep peoples personal details safe. Hope Community Project will be offering a summer school holiday community cafe service (Breaking Bread) to children/residents in the community. We need volunteer cooks to support this service. That’s where you can make a difference, cooking and preparing food.
