Art Festival Steward 5th-7th May 2023

Opportunity: Wolverhampton Art Festival Steward 5th-7th May 2023
Assisting the organisers and security in the smooth run of the festival.
• Walking up and down the street where the festival will be taking place, checking on stall holders to ensure all their needs are met, as well ensuring the safety of the public (if anyone needs assistance, communicate with the security/ organisation team)
• Assisting the organisers in setting up and clearing the workshop area in between art workshops
• Assisting up organisers in looking after the stage performers (direct performers towards the stage for the performances, help clear/setup the performance area etc.)
On the first day (Friday 05/05/23) help will be needed with setting up Gazebos for Art stalls start at 8am
There will always be part of team organiser team present in the festival area, the volunteers are needed to help out.
Requirements: Good communication skills well organised, art interest desired, but not necessary, events organising interest desired, but not necessary.
The festival will run over the course of three days, help will be needed throughout the whole festival between 10am-4pm

At the beginning of each day the volunteers will be introduced to the whole team, the stage and workshop line ups and the daily activities will be shared with the whole team.

Opportunity: S&K Creative Artz C.I.C is looking for a volunteer coordinator who would like to help support their volunteers and make a positive difference in the organisation. We are looking for a detail-oriented and focused volunteer coordinator to be responsible for our database of volunteers and volunteer opportunities. You should uphold the values of our organisation while ensuring the comfort of our volunteers in their positions
Brief role of tasks/duties: Recruiting, training and supervising new volunteers. Collecting volunteer information, availability, and skills and maintaining an up-to-date database. Using marketing tools such as outreach programs, e-mails and volunteer database. Keeping new and existing volunteers informed about the organisation and volunteer opportunities. Matching volunteers to opportunities that suits their skill sets and ensuring they understand their responsibilities and receive the proper training. Organising training and leading on the job training. Keeping schedules and records of volunteers works .Preparing codes of conduct and operating procedures to uphold the organisation values. Ensuring the organisation purpose is conveyed to the public.
Requirements: Experience in being a volunteer coordinator or similar position. An associate’s degree in business management, human resources, or a similar field. Experience in volunteering and recruitment. Working knowledge of databases .Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organisation and team-building skills .There will be an induction meeting
Location: Homeworking
Hours: Monday –Friday Maximum 3 days per week. Commitment 6 months -1 year Flexibility will be given for any holidays .Will work around the suitable person.

Safeguarding Lead

Opportunity: Safeguarding Lead
• Provide support to volunteers/staff around any safeguarding issues or concerns
• Ensure safeguarding cases are referred to relevant professionals with support
• Ensure all staff and volunteers receive safeguarding training
• Ensure safeguarding policy is up to date and reviewed regularly linking to statutory policies and procedures guidance.
• Ensuring that all staff are fully trained in safeguarding and know how to spot and raise concerns.
• Help to maintain an effective staff supervision programme
• Has up to date regular safeguarding training to fulfil their role.
Requirements: Good communication skills .Ability to be proactive. Have good safeguarding training experience .Experience working with children and young people .Ability to work as a team player .There will be an induction meeting.
Location: Remote Home working
Hours: Monday-Friday (Maximum 3 days per week) Flexibility will be given for any holidays. Will work around the suitable person. Minimum commitment 6 months

West Caribbean Parent&Friends Association Activities Co-Ordinator

Opportunity: Duties include: Open the building and set up table and chairs. Make tea and coffee .Do gentle exercise .Coordinate activities e.g. organise trips and attendance at different events .Organise guest speakers on relevant topics such as health issues .Keep in touch with elders who are not able to attend .Do arts and crafts.
Requirements: People person and some experience of working with the elderly, Coordinating activities and Exercise instructor .There is also an induction & training provided

Hours: Wednesday 11am to 1pm

The Association established over 50 years ago continues to serve the local community by promoting cultural, inter generational working and lifelong learning. Through its Elders Group it provides an environment where people can socialise to improve the health and wellbeing and reduce isolation for elderly residents in Wolverhampton.

Livin Lives : Womens Group Assistant

Volunteer needed to assist group leader with coffee mornings and women’s group sessions.
Opportunity : Tasks include preparing and serving refreshments, meet and greet ladies as they arrive, display paperwork and information needed for sessions, participate in most group sessions where possible.
Groups sessions include Mother support sessions, Health and Well being, Arts & Crafts and more which will be discussed at interview.
Requirements: A friendly, empathetic, caring, good listener, none-judgemental and patient person would be ideal for this position.
Location: Low Hill Community Hub, Kempthorne Avenue, Wolverhampton WV10 9JJ.
Hours: Fridays 11.00am -3.00pm
