Art Festival Steward 5th-7th May 2023

	Opportunity: Wolverhampton Art Festival Steward 5th-7th May 2023 Assisting the organisers and security in the smooth run of the festival. • Walking up and down the street where the festival will be taking place, checking on stall holders to ensure all their needs are met, as well ensuring the safety of the public (if anyone needs assistance, communicate with the security/ organisation team) • Assisting the organisers in setting up and clearing the workshop area in between art workshops • Assisting up organisers in looking after the stage performers (direct performers towards the stage for the performances, help clear/setup the performance area etc.) On the first day (Friday 05/05/23) help will be needed with setting up Gazebos for Art stalls start at 8am There will always be part of team organiser team present in the festival area, the volunteers are needed to help out.
	Requirements: Good communication skills well organised, art interest desired, but not necessary, events organising interest desired, but not necessary. The festival will run over the course of three days, help will be needed throughout the whole festival between 10am-4pm

Social Interaction Facilitator

	Opportunity: Supporting CT staff on the ‘Lets Chat’ project to meet and greet with members of the public, offer them tea and coffee and generally be willing and able to sit down and chat with people , offer them a friendly eat and with Training, be able to signpost them to other services that third party partners are offering . These activities are taking place in three ways: Mobile Unit –A number of our minibuses are being converted, to allow space for chairs and table, a place to make hot beverages and information boards containing information about local service .Across the week these mobile units will visit a number of pre-determined places within the local community and park up for a number of hours, allowing members of the public to come on board, meet people and speak with representatives from several organisations offering their services. The purpose of this project is to reduce loneliness and Isolation for local residents. We are looking for volunteers to join us and participate in this project by meeting people and providing a friendly ear to listen and to join in conversation. The same service is being offered in static bus station buildings and generally across our Passenger Service.
	Requirements: Friendly outgoing, sympathetic, a good listener.
	Location: The project is set across three main areas, which are Coventry, Mid-Birmingham and the Black Country .The Black country will encompass Wolverhampton, Dudley and Sandwell. The mobile units will travel around the Black Country on set days Station sites in Dudley and West Bromwich .Our Passenger service locations vary.

	Supporting members on Activities.
	Opportunity: Sighted Guide: Assisting members on wellbeing walks. Bowling Assistant: Being a sighted guide/bringing the bowling balls to members and taking them to the lane. Offering encouragement and being as descriptive as possible to support members at the bowling alley to aim in the correct direction in order to hit all the pins. Shooting Range: We require volunteers to assist and load pellets. Training will be provided by the shooting range. Need to offer guidance and assistance to members with the sound and laser equipment used. A copy of the league rules will be given to volunteers to assist our member should they want to participate in the winter shooting league. Need to be patient and offer our members encouragement. Score cards, and results will be given out at the end by relevant staff. Training will be provide at the Shooting range. Tennis: We require sighted guides to team up with groups and individuals to offer encouragement , build confidence in the sport, be patient, support with set up and packing away , collecting balls, being descriptive with our members and having a general friendly encouraging approach.
	Requirements: Someone that is active. Has a friendly and encouraging approach and someone that may have worked with people with disabilities previously would be an advantage. It is important to be descriptive as possible to prove our members with the relevant support when participating in activities .Induction and training provided.

	Opportunity: We are currently looking for new volunteers to join the Independent Monitoring Board (IMB) at 12 prisons across the West Midlands The IMB helps to ensure that proper standards for care and decency are maintained. Applicants do not need any special qualifications or experience as we will provide all necessary training and support.
	Requirements: Candidates need to be over 18 years of age and live within approximately 25 miles of the prison. You need to be enthusiastic, open minded, possess effective communication skills and have the ability to exercise sound, objective judgement.

We are looking for a people person with well-honed organisational skills to champion and coordinate our volunteer teams.
Opportunity : Dealing with queries from potential new volunteers who get in touch. Being the first point of contact for our existing volunteers and answering general queries. Lead on advertising new volunteers (on the RSPB and external websites, in the local community) Set up interviews with potential volunteers and assist with induction administration. Administrative tasks such as recording volunteer hours, registering new volunteers on our database, creating ID badges, organising rotas and processing expenses claims. Supporting the site manager or project manager, reserve wardens and project officers with volunteer administration and recruitment as necessary.

Livin Lives Administration/Peer Support

Opportunities: (including brief role description)	Woodland Walk Organiser You will help organise a Woodland Walk to raise funds for its Woodland House Appeal, to bring a brand-new, purpose-built bereavement centre to the hospital for families experiencing pregnancy or baby loss. This sponsored walk will be one of a series of local, community -run walks taking place across the Midlands in a local park, a nearby country park or a favourite nature trail. You can personalise the walk to your community with Kids Activity Zones, catering, remembrance ceremonies etc. The Regional Fundraiser will support you. Your duties will be to: Investigate and decide on a suitable walk venue & route; Complete a Risk Assessment for the event; Promote via social media, posters, leaflets, local press Complete all relevant event planning documents; Recruit volunteers and helpers to help run the event; Contact and welcome registrants, remind them to raise sponsorship /set up a Just Giving page to raise donations; Organise ‘on the day’ activities and send out instructions to attendees and volunteers prior to the event; Keep accurate records of all participants and volunteers, in line with data protection/ GDPR guidelines; Source local sponsorship to help cover the event cost; Send a thank you to attendees & volunteers post event; Send all donations raised to the Charity after the event. Requirements/ Skills Sought: A passion for organising with contacts in the community, great communication skills and a keenness to both plan and budget.
